Carmen And Dave Call It Quits
(CBS)
Actress Carmen Electra and her husband, rocker Dave Navarro, are "amicably separating," a rep for Electra confirmed to TheShowBuzz.com on Monday.
Electra and Navarro tied the knot in November of 2003. Their lavish rock star nuptials were chronicled in the 2004 MTV series "'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave."
Electra's rep, Jill Fritzo, would not comment further on the matter.
Star magazine reported in June that their relationship was on the rocks.
"They've really been separate for some time now, but it looks like they're going to let it fester for a while before they finally call it quits," an unidentified source told Star at the time.
"Since March, they've hardly been together at all," the insider said. "She's traveling all the time and doesn't even bother to tell him her schedule."
Electra, 34, addressed rumors of a break-up to People magazine at the New York premiere of "Scary Movie 4" in April. "We're fine!" she told People. "I'm not saying we have the perfect marriage or that we're the perfect couple, but we're pretty damn good."
She added that if there were trouble in paradise, "I wouldn't have my ring on. I would not walk around and pretend."
That same month, the actress visited The Early Show and addressed rumors that she and Navarro were expecting a child.
"I'm definitely not pregnant," she told co-anchor Julie Chen. I've been hearing that a lot. I can't wait to be a mom someday. Maybe in a few years. I think I have a little time."
Electra was previously married to ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman; they wed in 1998 and divorced five months later. Navarro, 39, who is a host on the CBS reality show "Rock Star: Supernova," was married two times before taking the plunge with Electra in 2003. He has played guitar for bands like Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
