Aaron Spelling Has Stroke

Television producer Aaron Spelling suffered a stroke over the weekend at his Holmby Hills estate and he's being treated at home, his publicist said Wednesday.

"He had a stroke Sunday at home," spokesman Kevin Sasaki said, adding doctors were treating the 83-year-old producer at his mansion, The Manor.

The producer of such TV shows as "Beverly Hills 90210," "Charlie's Angels," "Dynasty," "Love Boat," "Melrose Place" and "Fantasy Island" is conscious and resting comfortably, Sasaki said. Spelling's wife Candy has been at his side.

The seriousness of the stroke is not clear. Sasaki said he wasn't aware of any paralysis.

"I don't know the extent of it," Sasaki said. "But if it had been some incredible degree he would have been taken to the hospital."

Spelling and his second wife, Candy, have two children, actress Tori Spelling and actor Randy, who appeared in the short-lived "Malibu Shores."
