Eustace claimed that she was asked to leave the building during the awards portion of the event because she made Spelling, who was presenting an award, uncomfortable.
"The excuse was that there was a restraining order against me, which is of course completely false and untrue," Eustace told the Canadian Press.
Spelling said she wasn't even aware that Eustace was at the party, but that didn't stop the Hollywood heiress from taking a swipe at her husband's ex-wife, who is 48 years old.
According to Canada.com, Spelling, 33, spoke backstage about wanting to have enough children to make a "McDermott hockey team" and hinted that she might already be pregnant. Spelling and McDermott eloped on May 7, 2006, to a private island in Fiji.
"When you have a young wife, they can actually have more children because they start younger," Spelling said in what could be interpreted as a dig at Eustace. "I'm young and virile. I can handle it."
McDermott and Eustace have a biological son together and adopted a baby girl shortly before he left her for Spelling.
Spelling and McDermott met in Ottawa almost a year ago while filming the TV movie "Mind Over Murder." At the time, McDermott had been married to Eustace for 12 years and Spelling was married to actor Charlie Shanian.
The awards honored music videos by Canadian and international musicians and featured appearances by Paris Hilton, Nick Lachey, and Rihanna who won best international video artist. Performers included Nelly Furtado, Simple Plan and Fall Out Boy.
