Bush, Victims' Families See 9/11 Film

President George W. Bush invited relatives of some of the 40 passengers and crew members portrayed in "United 93" to join him Tuesday night in the family theater of the White House for a screening of the film.
Bush and his wife, Laura, planned to watch the film about the attacks. Director Paul Greengrass' film focuses on the drama aboard United Flight 93, the plane that crashed in rural Pennsylvania after passengers fought back against their hijackers.
"The president has always said that those who were on the flight, that the passengers and crew members of the flight, were heroes," said White House spokeswoman Dana Perino.
Greengrass had the blessings of survivors of all 40 individuals killed aboard the plane. Relatives have called the film a fitting testament to their loved ones.
The film is the first about the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, when hijacked airliners also destroyed the New York Trade Center's twin towers and heavily damaged the Defense Department's Pentagon headquarters outside Washington.
