Jagger To Get Satisfaction On TV?

With a potential new role in a TV sitcom, Mick Jagger may be going from counting box-office receipts to reading the Nielsen ratings.
The Rolling Stones frontman has filmed scenes for a comedy pilot being considered by ABC for its fall schedule, said Charissa Gilmore, spokeswoman for Touchstone Television, the producers, on Wednesday.
The comedy, which doesn't have a title yet, is being made by Rob Burnett and Jon Beckerman, the creative team behind NBC's "Ed." It stars Donal Logue as a janitor who schemes with his friends to rob someone rich and famous.
While pitching the series, the producers jokingly titled the show "Let's Rob Jeff Goldblum," although Goldblum proved unavailable for the project, according to The New York Times.
Jagger was approached and liked the idea. Since the Stones were touring, his scenes were filmed recently in New Zealand, Gilmore said.
ABC will decide on its fall schedule by May 16. The Jagger pilot is one of several new comedies under consideration. ABC is currently short of hit comedies and has a number of holes in its schedule, so those factors may work in the show's favor.
ABC is owned by The Walt Disney Co.
