Second Cup Café: Teddy Geiger

By

(CBS)  Teddy Geiger is just 17 years old, but it's safe to say he's a rising young star. He first hit the scene as a finalist on VH-1's "In Search Of the New Partridge Family," and followed that up with a regular role on the short-lived CBS series, "Love Monkey."

His debut album, "Underage Thinking," has just arrived in stores. Geiger wrote or co-wrote 11 of the 12 songs, and with his heartthrob looks and intimate lyrics, this teenage sensation's fan base is expanding rapidly outside of his native Rochester, N.Y., where fans call themselves Tedheads.

Before hitting it big, Geiger was just one of the guys at an all-boys Jesuit school. Rochester seems to sense this young man is going places. Last week, the city declared Sunday to be Teddy Geiger Day.

This week Geiger visits The Saturday Early Show's Second Cup Café to perform songs from his brand new album.
