(CBS)  Several weeks ago, The Early Show asked viewers to write in if they were interested in transforming themselves for the new year with a head-to-toe makeover. We received this letter from Myla Frith of Massachusetts:

Dear David,

I'm a 29 year old mother of five -- 4 boys and 1 little girl. My husband is in the USCG. We've moved from one side of the United States, Washington State to Massachusetts where we live now. I've been married now
for 10 years and with my husband for almost 12. I've been on a whirlwind ever since.

Three moves in the last five years has begun to take a toll on me. I have no family here and am feeling really down and in a funk.
In the past two years I've lost almost 60 pounds, which has been a huge accomplishment for me. Now I need a new
look to go along with it. Since I've married and had my children it's been all about taking care of everyone else and not myself. I would love to have a makeover.

Hope to hear from you. Take care and Happy Holidays,
Myla Frith

When we spoke to Myla, we found out that her 30th birthday was coming up on Jan. 15th, and that she was quite nervous about it.

"It's a big milestone," she says, "but I don't feel like a 30-year-old...and I don't mean that in a good way. I work at the Gap and wear jeans, sweaters and thermals all the time. I've never owned a suit, and I can't say that I think my look is at all sophisticated. My hair is 3 different colors - auburn underneath, and some blonde and brown highlights on top...and I've been growing it in for a while. It used to be really, really short and I hated it. I just want a new look for the next chapter of my life," she told us. "I'd like to look lady-like, a lot more sophisticated and put together, not frumpy anymore."
