Bundchen Has The Secret

(CBS)  She has been hailed as one of the most beautiful women in world. Vogue magazine named the 25-year-old Gisele Bundchen the "Model of the Millennium."

Tuesday night, Dec. 6, the Brazilian beauty will take the runway again for the annual "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show," airing on CBS at 10 p.m. ET/PT. And she dropped by The Early Show to talk about it.

Each year, the Victoria's Secret show features a "fantasy" gift item, usually an elaborate, expensive bra. This year, Bundchen is wearing the fantasy gift — a bejeweled "Sexy Splendor Fantasy Bra." She wears the bra with a teeny-tiny red Santa skirt with red boots.

The bra features 2,900 pave-set diamonds along with 22 ruby gemstones. The stones are set in 18K white gold. It took over 300 hours to create. The focal point of the bra is a 101-carat flawless pear-shaped stone. The total carat weight of the bra is 108.37 for the diamonds and 38.25 for the rubies. The bra is on sale for $12,500,000.

Co-anchor Harry Smith asked what it was like for her to wear the special item.

"It's so heavy… I was like, hopefully, no one kills me on this runway and tries to steal it from me," she said. "But it's pretty heavy. I mean, it was, like, almost heavier than me. No, I'm joking!"

Bundchen said working the show is fun and crazy at the same time.

"It's definitely like very chaotic backstage because there's so much going on and a tight space," Bundchen said. "And not only us, which is a lot of girls in the show, but there are also people like the hair, the makeup, which is a lot of people. And then, like, all the wings occupying someone's space."

The wings, attached to the models' back, are a Victoria's Secret signature look.

Does it make a difference that this particular fashion show is televised?

"It doesn't really change anything, televised or not televised, to me," the model said. "You still have to walk on the runway. The difference between this show and other shows is you're wearing less clothes than most of the other shows … That is very much the difference. Nobody would be wearing wings, either, on other shows."

When she wears wings, does she feel like an angel?

"Not really," Bundchen replied. "Am I supposed to?"

Smith and Bundchen also chatted about fellow model Heidi Klum and how slender she was so soon after having a baby.

"You know Heidi, she's German, so she's really, like, that German-like professional," said Bundchen. "I couldn't believe, after two months, she just had a baby and there (she was) doing the runway show. I told her, 'I can't believe you look this good.' I would be hiding in a tree in Brazil or something, and tell everyone, 'Forget that I exist.' She was there.

"She's very German that way, very professional. She was back in shape after two months. That's crazy."

As the interview was ending, Smith said, "I almost forgot. Here's the most important thing: Who are you going out with … these days?"

"I'm not going out with anybody. With myself," Bundchen said.

So it seems she's no longer exclusively dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Bundchen was born in Três de Maio in southern Brazil. She is the daughter of Valdir and Vânia Bündchen, both of German descent. Bundchen was raised in Horizontina, a small town of fewer than 20,000 people located in the southern part of Brazil.

Her five sisters — Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Patricia, and Rafaela — are all aspiring models. Rafaela and Gisele are twins.
