(CBS)  For more than 25 years, Huey Lewis and the News have carried the banner as the quintessential American rock band.

Now, the Grammy-winning founder and lead singer, Huey Lewis, has made his way to Broadway, making his debut in the six-time Tony award-winning musical Chicago, starring as attorney Billy Flynn.

If you are not in New York City, you can still catch his performance. He visits The Early Show to perform "All I Care About" live with six members of the cast on Friday morning.

Lewis made his Broadway debut on Monday, Oct. 31, at the Ambassador Theatre after 25 years performing in front of live audiences with Huey Lewis and The News.

With album sales over 20 million, the group has released 10 albums and has written and performed such classic top 10 hits as "The Power of Love," "The Heart of Rock and Roll," "Stuck With You," "I Want a New Drug," "Workin' For a Livin," and "If This Is It."
