Who was hot and who was not:

Eyes were on what the "Desperate Housewives" were wearing. Evangelista and Schwartz disagree a bit on how they looked.

Terri Hatcher went for all-out glamour in a navy blue empire waist gown with a long train by J. Mendel. It had a crystal band under the bustline that she complemented with a substantial diamond link necklace and diamond earrings.

It was "too much! Too much jewelry," Evangelista said. Schwartz disagreed. "This is fantasy dressing at its best," she says. "Yes, she was more 'funky' last year. But she looks like a classy woman here. Love her look."

Felicity Huffman's rouge satin bias-cut gown had a gentle cowl neck, crystals on the thick straps and the waist insets - and an old Hollywood look.

"The dress is not flattering. I don't love it," Evangelista said. Schwartz once again, did not agree. "I love the color. This is very beautiful on her," she said.

Eva Longoria was hardly a shrinking violet. She wore a coral gown with a jeweled neck and revealing keyhole opening.

"This dress does not fit her well," Evangelista said. "This color is not very flattering. I don't love her hair either."

Schwartz gave her look the thumbs up just saying, "I think she looks great."

Nicolette Sheridan, in a Giorgio Armani strapless dusty-rose satin gown with a fitted bodice, cascading tiered skirt and train appeared more sophisticated and demure than her on-screen counterpart. "It's soft and elegant," she said.

"It's nice. There's nothing bad to say about it," Schwartz said.

"She looks better than Eva," Evangelista noted. "I think the dress washes her out a bit. But overall, nice."

Best Dressed
Evangelista and Shwartz gave the "rising fashion star" award to Mischa Barton from the "O.C." She wore a delicate nude-colored slip gown covered in beads. Schwartz and Evangelista thought she was a great example of young Hollywood really embracing classic fashions.

In the Best Dressed category, Schwartz's pick is "Arrested Development" star Portia Di Rossi. "I loved her Nina Ricci dress, her hair, and her makeup. She looked amazing. She really stood out."

Evangelista's pick is Marcia Cross from "Desperate Housewives." "She wins for most improved," Evangelista said. "Remember how stiff she was last year? She looks like a woman. She's amazing. Her jewelry, her hair, the green dress - perfect." Cross' green strapless gown by Elie Saab had a ruched bodice with elaborate beading, and her dangling earrings dripped diamonds and green baubles under her free-flowing long red hair.

Both fashion experts agreed new mom Heidi Klum looked like the supermodel she is in a floral empire-waist gown by Christian Dior. Schwartz said no matter what she wears, Klum always looks great, but she "gets big bonus points for coming out after just giving birth."

Worst Dressed
As for the worst dressed, they agreed Paula Abdul, wearing a plunging V-neck dress in light yellow, did not look her best.

"She can't catch a break," Evangelista said. Both fashion experts agreed her deep neckline is not OK for her. She requires more support in that area.

Melania Trump wore a light blue gown that according to Evangelista looked like a "bad nightgown." Schwartz agreed Trump could have done much better.

Patricia Arquette wore a fitted cream-colored Badgley Mischka gown showing off a lot of cleavage. Her hair was done up in curls. "I thought I'd throw down a bit of the east L.A. thing," Arquette said. She accessorized with 30 carats of pear-shaped Chopard diamonds on her ears.

"Looks like they left the rollers in their hair," Evangelista said.

But not all the fashion was fluff and frills. Hank Azaria said of the Red Cross pin he wore to draw attention to the plight of Hurricane Katrina victims: "It's not fashion, it's passion."
