(AP)  Emmy-nominated "Desperate Housewives" star Marcia Cross is getting married.

Businessman Tom Mahoney proposed to the actress last weekend, her publicist Heidi Lopata Slan said Friday. There was no information on Mahoney.

"The happy couple have not set a date for the wedding yet," the spokeswoman said.

Cross and two co-stars on ABC-TV's popular prime time soap series "Desperate Housewives" are nominated for comedy series actress Emmy Awards next month.

The show received 15 Emmy nominations in total.

Cross, 43, plays Wisteria Lane's newly widowed Bree Van De Kamp, a character described in ABC-TV news releases as "Martha Stewart on steroids."

On Wednesday, Cross's co-star Eva Longoria was injured during taping and was taken to a hospital for treatment, a spokesperson for the show said.

Longoria, 30, was "bumped on the head by something" while shooting on location, the spokesperson said. She was released from the hospital and is expected to return to work on schedule.

"Access Hollywood" reported that Longoria was injured when a pole fell on her.
