A movie season with Batman, "Bewitched," and many more.

(CBS)  This summer looks to be a promising one for actress Katie Holmes. Not only did her new boyfriend actor, Tom Cruise, publicly declared his love for her, but she also costars in one of the most anticipated blockbuster hits of the summer, "Batman Begins."

"I was in the green room at the Oprah show," Holmes tells The Early Show co-anchor Hannah Storm referring to the time when Cruise jumped up and down on the couch excited about his new love. "I was sitting there and I was like, oh, my god, I'm so touched. It's so kind. He's so kind and generous and loving. And I mean, it's amazing. It is absolutely amazing. I adore him."

Thought the couple has still to talk about marriage, Holmes notes the thought of it just puts a smile on her face.

Not long ago she was just the TV star on "Dawson's Creek" who said in "Seventeen" magazine that she dreamed of one day possibly marring Cruise. Today, she is dealing with speculations that the couple's love isn't real, but a publicity stunt.

"I don't care," Holmes says, "There are so many people that are so happy for us. And we get phone calls and just so many people feel so much joy. And that's wonderful. And people who want to write things, whatever, go ahead. I don't care. I love him."

So what what is it about the two personalities that allowed them to hit it off?

"We have such a good time together," Holmes says, "We laugh. He makes me laugh so hard. We met and it was just amazing. I feel like the luckiest woman in the whole world."

And that is not all, "Batman Begins" is the first big blockbuster that she has been in, and the star power is amazing with Liam Neeson and Michael Caine.

Holmes says, "It was so thrilling to be a part of this cast of actors that I've admired and just such a privilege. I was so excited. I have to say my enthusiasm grew with every day on the set. It just got better, and better."
