(CBS)  A topless sandal, corduroys with horizontal rather than vertical ribs, first-aid bandages that blend with your skin, and double-glass tumblers: just a few of the fun and functional twists on all sorts if items we use every day life.

In this week's "Trend Report," The Early Show's Laurie Hibberd shows and explains how these bright ideas work:

  • Customized button-down shirts by Rebecca & Drew Manufacturing are specifically crafted according to a woman's bust size. This avoids any pulling and gaping in the bust area. Each top is available in 28 sizes from a 32A to a 38D. They sell in a variety of styles at the Rebecca & Drew Manufacturing Boutique in New York City (212-647-8904) as of June 21, and exclusively at NeimanMarcus.com starting on June 3. Prices range from $165-$250.

  • Cordarounds are trousers made with horizontal rather than vertical ribs. The ribs mesh evenly together rather than grating against one another, eliminating the typical corduroy swish when you walk. The cordarounds for men, $88, as well as the summeround seersucker pants, $77, can be purchased online at www.cordarounds.com.

  • The Topless Sandal is produced by That's Cool Inc. of Yuma, Ariz. It uses a special skin adhesive built into the sandal that adheres to the foot without leaving a sticky residue. When the adhesive stops bonding well, or when the sandals get dirty, a soap and water scrub will clean them right up. Letting them dry well in a warm area rejuvenates the glue and the shoe comes right back to its original state. A pair of these flip-flop-like sandals costs $12, and can be purchased online at www.the-topless-sandal.com or by phone at 866-500-4153.

  • Bodum double-glass tumblers implement double-wall technology for style and function. The beverage served in these tumblers appears to be suspended within the glass, while the interior layer serves to insulate hot or cold beverages. The dual layers also keep condensation from accumulating on the outside of cold drinks, eliminating the need for coasters to protect your surfaces. The tumblers are sold in sets of two glasses and can be found on the Web at www.bodumusa.com or by phone at 1-800-23-bodum. Prices range from $11.95 - $19.95.

  • Self-Heating containers are designed to heat liquid contents without any additional heating devices. Wolfgang Puck's gourmet lattes are one of the first products to adopt the new technology. To activate the container, push the button on the bottom of the can and, after waiting six to eight minutes, heat the latte to 145 degrees. The coffee stays hot for 30 minutes and warm for up to an hour. Tea, hot chocolate, and soups will also soon be available in self-heating containers. The Self Heating Lattes can be found in Kroger company stores and convenience stores nationwide, for $2.25 each.
