(CBS)  You don't necessarily have to spend a lot to buy gifts that will win lots of smiles.

The Early Show's Laurie Hibberd says you can find a wide variety of hip, fun and original gifts for less than $100, and she ran down a host of suggestions.

Karen Callan Designs picture envelopes

These envelopes are just the right size for holding photographs, replacing the ubiquitous brag book. Callan is known for her bright colors and the individualizing of each piece with a small accessory, such as a heart or frog or bug. A photo envelope with magnetic closure holds up to 50, 4 x 6 photos. It's also great for traveling to carry passports, receipts and maps. Price includes ornament. $60

In 1995, Karen Callan launched her Home Collection. Since then, her Collections of tabletop items, desk accessories and small leather goods have been featured in such fine stores and catalogs as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's, Gumps by mail and The Horchow Collection, just to name a few.

The Small Leather Goods Collection was added more recently. This collection has grown to include personal agendas, photo albums, checkbook covers, wallets, makeup bags, daily planners and novelty items. The leathers are imported from Italy and made in both Italy and the United States.

Small whimsical bugs, animals and other novelty ornaments decorate each item. The ornaments are cast in pewter, then plated and oxidized in silver or dark museum gold. Several pieces are enameled and add vibrancy or muted elegance to any assortment grouping. Only the finest European leathers are used.

All of the products are manufactured in the United States and shipped from Norwalk, Conn. Special care is given to ensure quality control, prompt delivery and excellent customer service. Each piece is an original design that is signed and copyrighted by the designer, Karen Callan.

Madonna's Three Books

A box set of Madonna's first three children's books. $40

The Material Girl, now a mom, has written three books for children: "The English Roses," with art by Jeffrey Fulvimari, "Mr. Peabody's Apples," with art by Loren Long and "Yakov and the Seven Thieves," with art by Gennady Spirin. The three books are being sold as a box set.

"The English Roses" made publishing history with its simultaneous release in 30 languages and over 100 countries in September 2003. It became the biggest and fastest-selling book ever by a first-time children's author.

"Friends" Trivia Game: Based on the hit TV show, it has 1,000 questions that will make you laugh and keep you guessing.
