Castellaneta Hits Third 'Homer'

Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson, has won this year's award for voiceover performance.

It's the third Emmy for Castellaneta, who won back-to-back statuettes in 1992 and 1993 for his work on "The Simpsons." Castellaneta took the 2004 award for his roles as Homer, Krusty the Clown, Grampa Simpson, Groundskeeper Willie, Barney Gumble and Mel in "The Simpsons" episode "Today I Am a Clown."

"The Simpsons," which just completed its 15th season on Fox, comes from 20th Century Fox TV and Gracie Films.

The Academy of TV Arts & Sciences also announced Tuesday this year's Emmy winners for individual achievement in animation and costumes for a variety or music program.

"My Life as a Teenage Robot" background stylist Seonna Hong drew the animation nod. Hong was recognized for the Nickelodeon cartoon's episode "The Wonderful World of Wizzley."

"My Life as a Teenage Robot" comes from Frederator Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios.

As for variety/music costumes, Emmys went to "Smucker's Stars on Ice 2004" costume designer Jef Billings and costume supervisor Regina Winters.

Special, which aired on A&E, was produced by A&E Network in association with IMG and Trans-World Intl.

All three awards are juried categories, which don't have noms.

The winners will receive their Emmys at the 2004 Creative Arts Awards, to be held at the Shrine Auditorium Sept. 12.
