Sectarian violence linked to the unrest in neighboring Syria shook the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli on Sunday, with street clashes killing one soldier and two civilians, the state news agency said. Residents said running gun battles broke out in the city Saturday and continued through the night primarily between a neighborhood populated by Sunni Muslims opposed to Syrian President Bashar Assad and another area with many Assad backers from his Alawite sect. A wedding scene with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez has been scrapped from director Kevin Smith's upcoming "Jersey Girl," according to Us Weekly magazine.

"I didn't know if (it was right) to leave it in," Smith is quoted as saying in the March 8 issue. "People might forget they're watching a picture, like, `Wait, didn't these two NOT get married?"'

Affleck and Lopez were supposed to have married last September, but abruptly postponed their lavish plans "due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding." They have since ended their engagement.

Some celebrity magazines have reported that the breakup was J.Lo's idea.

Sources have told magazines, including People magazine, that Lopez broke off her engagement to Affleck because she didn't care for his partying and gambling.

Reportedly the last straw was when she saw photos of Affleck and his actor buddy Matt Damon hanging out with young ladies in Berlin.

"Jersey Girl" is set for release March 26.
