Early Show contributor Laurie Hibberd rounded up a selection to demonstrate some of the most innovative options -- such as lighter materials, better wheels, and plusher fabrics plus cushioning -- for this week's Hib Report.

Limited All-Terrain Stroller with Music on the Move
The manufacture says this stroller features a newly designed parent tray that allows parents and babies to enjoy their favorite tunes by accommodating their personal cassette, CD or MP3 player. The parent tray also includes the speakers, amplifier, jack and cup holders for mom or dad. In addition, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited has one-hand folding and steering for easy maneuverability, multi-position reclining seat, three-tiered canopy with window and cover, light reflectors and three-point safety harness with quick release button.

Techno XT
The Techno XT is the flagship of the Maclaren line. The company says the new design is suitable for infants and toddlers. Techno XT's design includes reflective accents on seat, hood and sides for added safety. Maclaren says the soft, cosseting seat and shoulder pads assure comfort. Other features include: washable seat; ergonomically shaped, three-position adjustable handles for all heights; new flip-down protective sun visor; viewing window and added storage pockets on hood; larger wheels, new suspension and braking system for safer and easier strolling; durable fabric on heavily used extendable leg rest area; and single-hand fold with handle to easily carry. The stroller is suitable from birth. It weighs 14.3 pounds and costs about $290.
Global Buggy
The Global Buggy is a pram-style umbrellas stroller. Maclaren claims this unit is the first umbrella fold buggy that is a pram, a buggy and accommodates most brands of infant car seats. Other features include: fully reclining seat that is suitable from birth; one hand operation, removable and washable seat; removable bumper bar and extendable leg rest for flexibility; wider seat for freedom of movement as child grows; and appointed hood with viewing window on top. It weighs 17.6 pounds. It costs about $300.
Quest: Limited Edition Kate Spade Stroller
This stylish stroller is made with special fabrics and tailoring by Kate Spade. The makers of the stroller say the buggy is loaded with all the latest safety and convenience features. And Maclaren adds, it's perfect for babies who have outgrown their infant car seat (about 3 months old). Other features include: light and compact design with a simple one-hand folding system; durable, extendable leg rest for supporting smaller babies; lockable swivel wheels for easy maneuvering; comfortable four-position seat; tall, ergonomically-shaped handles with an angled frame for more comfortable pushing; hood and rain cover; and removable, machine-washable seat. It weighs 12.3 pounds and costs $350.

Zooper Kroozer
Parents who love futuristic, funky design may appreciate the Zooper Kroozer, which may be great for urban environment movement due to the air-filled wheels. The Kroozer is the newest model from the stroller's line. It's available in both three- and four-wheel versions, and both feature a "magnesium encased multidirectional suspension system," reversible seat system and height adjustable handle. The stroller is appropriate for newborns to toddlers. Other features include: sun shade; canopy; foot muff; rain cover; basket; and tire pump. It weighs 34 pounds and costs about $350.

Dinamico
The Dinamico is a powered stroller that uses a re-chargeable battery. The battery lasts between 4 to 5 hours. With just the switch of a lever, mom or dad can engage the power-operated feature. The re-chargeable battery can be charged either in a household outlet, or via the cigarette lighter in a car. It also features a speed control on the panel. It costs about $700.
Culla
Peg Perego says the carriage model is great for all seasons, and it can be detached to become a stroller seat. The stroller seat instantaneously attaches to a chassis, which is purchased separately. The Culla's features include: a protective shock-proof and water-proof shell; cradle or little bed; backrest adjustment using outer handle; air circulation adjustment using outer handle; baby carrier with carrying straps; hand-washable internal padding (the padding is made of sanitary and hypoallergenic Softerm); G-matic System, which is the automatic attachment system for all Peg Perego chassis; removable cover to use the bassinet as a cradle; mosquito net sewn into the cover; removable cover with zipper to use the bassinet as a cradle. It weighs 14.3 pounds. It costs about $450.

Bugaboo Frog
The Bugaboo Frog was designed by Max Barenbrug, an industrial designer, and further developed in collaboration with a medical doctor Eduard Zanen to meet rigorous ergonomic requirements and functional objectives of the ideal baby stroller. The manufacture says the stroller can be moved in a multitude of positions, allowing it to be used for newborns to four-year-olds.
Other features include: "Frog"-like suspension in the small swivel wheels; it allows curbs and bumps to be easily navigated; it has a detachable front stroller bar; the seat is adjustable to three position; there are two small swiveling wheels for city maneuvering; the stroller has two large terrain wheels for the off-road; it converts to a two-wheel position to be pulled on the beach or snow; has a reversible handlebar; adjustable seat can walking direction or backward; all fabrics are machine washable; there is a parking brake near the handlebar; the underseat has a bag; equipped with a canopy; and it has a rain cover and mosquito net included. The Bugaboo Frog weighs between 16 to 19 pounds. The Bugaboo costs about $700.

Inglesina
Classic
Some parents may pick the Classic Inglesina for its traditional look. The stroller's bassinet is manufactured by hand, the body is made of wood, the medallion on the sides are made of porcelain and are hand painted, the curtains are real lace and the inner lining is made of piquet cotton. The manufacture says the chassis, with its large wheels and posh suspensions will provide comfort for the child and an incredibly easy strolling action for the parents. It weighs 35 pounds. It costs about $700.
Zippy
Zippy Inglesina can be opened and folded with only one hand, with the flip of a lever. Once folded, the stroller stands on its own. Swivel front wheels provide maneuverability and the all terrain wheels can handle the inevitable bumps on the road. It includes a large storage basket and a carrying handle. For the child there is a four-position full recline backrest, an adjustable leg rest and a five-point harness. Full suspension system provides a comfortable ride for the child. The Zippy also comes with a universal car seat adapter that will secure a car seat to the stroller. It's features include: adjustable backrest and footrest; removable front bumper; universal car seat compatible; connection straps; mesh basket and carrying handle; and removable and washable cover. It weighs 17 pounds. And it costs about $280.

Silver Cross Silver Stream
Silver Cross says they have been supplying Buckingham Palace with strollers for almost 100 of their 127 in years in business. The strollers are hand-made in northern England. Each of the new strollers is numbered with a plaque, and each comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the craftsman who made it. The suspension system is made from English leather and hand-sprung steel and the body is thin, pressed steel-coated with three layers of lacquer paint. All of the pinstripe fine lining is painted on by hand without the use of stencils.
It weighs about 75 pounds. It's available by order, and costs about $2,600.
