'Angels' Flying High
(CBS)
Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are packing heat.
They don't have guns, but they do have the kind of starpower that lights up the silver screen. Their new movie with the new bad girl Demi Moore, "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," will rock theatres the same way the premiere rocked Hollywood, predicts Entertainment Tonight's Mark Steines. The movie opens Friday, June 27.
Rocking in a Chevy convertible, the 'angels' took over Hollywood to launch the movie and they looked incredible in white.
Entertainment Tonight's Jann Carl talked to the girls about their heavenly fights and found out it's little Lucy Liu who packs the best punch.
Barrymore says, "If we had a 4 a.m. set call, which we had all the time. She will get up at like 2:30 or 3 and work out for an hour then come to work showered and ready. I got up this morning showered and came to work and I'll be, like, I'm awake how are you guys doing. And she's, like, eating chicken at 3:30 in the morning."
But Barrymore herself shows off some serious dance skills.
She says, "I didn't know if I had it in me and it was so exciting to dance confident in a pair of fringe panties." Diaz with a big smile says, "And what about that pole," referring to a scene in which Barrymore slides a pole.
And everyone is talking about Demi Moore coming to the premiere with her husband, their kids and her boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher. But as the movie's fallen angel, the 40-year-old actress is smoking hot.
At the movie's L.A. premiere, Liu says of Moore, "She's so hot, most beautiful woman." Barrymore adds, "She's a goddess." Diaz says just says, "wow" about the scene in which Moore, sporting a black bikini, gets in a red Ferrari.
This is Moore's first major movie in six years and she had to keep the negotiations a secret before deciding to do it.
"I do have three daughters and I knew that I had to hold out telling them that this was a possibility because I would have got way too much pressure at home to just say yes without any question," she says.
The angels invaded Manhattan Wednesday night for the New York premiere. Entertainment Tonight will have all the news from the red carpet Thursday night plus exclusive never-before-seen "Charlie's Angels" clips of Demi Moore and of Jacqueline Smith, one of the original TV "angels" who's in the movie.
