Sisters With Voices

They call themselves The Beu Sisters, and they're not lying.

For Candice, Christie, Jill and Danielle Beu, show business is in their blood. They were raised backstage while their parents performed on Broadway.

Now the sisters' "savvy pop melodies" and "sassy attitude" have earned them comparison to the hit trio of brothers Hanson.

The Beu Sisters' debut album "Decisions" includes "Catch Me if You Can," a song from America's current largest earning movie, "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days."

The trio visited The Saturday Early Show's Second Cup Café to perform a few of their singles.

The sisters range from the ages of 15 to 26, and they come from a family of eight kids. The three were touched by music early in their lives, with their parents having met on a Broadway production of "A Chorus Line."

But the family didn't stay on the Great White Way. They moved to New Smyrna Beach, Fla., just south of Daytona, in 1991, and three years later, the Beu parents divorce. The singers explain that music became increasingly important to them after their parents split, because it kept them together.

Their first performance together was at a local a local Spring Fling show, where they performed " Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

In 1997, they sent their demo tapes to songwriter/producer Desmond Child, a longtime pop hitmaker who penned smashes for Ricky Martin (Livin' La Vida Loca) and Aerosmith. Three days later, they were invited to audition at Child's Miami home. Soon, they were auditioning for Steve Greenberg, president of the newly formed S-Curve Records (Recognized as a Grammy Award winning producer and for discovering the platinum selling acts Hanson and Baha Men) and earned a contract.

The Beu Sisters write, arrange and sing most of their own songs. They also collaborated with Pop Rox, Mark Hudson (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi), Steve Greenberg, and Mike Mangini (Digable Planets, Imani Coppola), to name a few.
