Kobe To Miss 3 Games
Kobe Bryant's sore left ankle already is feeling better, Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Friday, but the star guard is expected to miss at least three games.
Jackson indicated that Bryant might not play again until Wednesday night, when the Lakers are at home against Sacramento.
Bryant, leading the Lakers with an average of 29.2 points a game, won't be placed on the injured list, and Jackson said, "We talked about it, but it's not a situation where he needs to be out for that long."
Bryant hurt his ankle, which has bothered him at various times this season, late in the Lakers' 107-100 loss at Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
The Lakers also said Friday that they had put guard Tyronn Lue on the injured list because of a sprained left ankle. Guard Mike Penberthy, who was placed on the injured list March 13, will replace Lue on the active roster.
