Son Will Spend Lots Of Time On Ally McBeal Set

(AP)  Calista Flockhartsays she's settling down with a much, much younger man.

The Ally McBeal actress announced Thursday that she has adopted a baby boy. The name of the baby was not released.

"I have always wanted to adopt a child and I am overjoyed that I have been blessed with a beautiful and healthy son," Flockhart said. "I'm completely enchanted and awe-struck."

The 36-year-old actress added that she still hopes to give birth someday and may adopt another child.

Because of her hectic schedule, the new single mom said her son will spend a lot of time on the set of her Emmy-winning Fox comedy.

"I feel extremely fortunate and grateful that I work for such a supportive company that offers a wonderful child-care facility, enabling me to spend a lot of time with my son while I'm working," she said.
