(CBS)  If you haven't come up with a costume yet, CBS News has some ideas.
Halloween guru Gabriele Edgell from Selling Halloween magazine presents some of the top picks in 1999.

Each year Halloween costumes draw from the hottest trends in popular culture.

And 1999 is no exemption, as kids ushered in Pokeman and Star Wars character outfits.

You can buy, rent or draw from your own inspiration. Keep in mind that you may already have an outfit of sorts for your kids in the closet.

And sport figures, such as the baseball players competing in the World Series, never go out of style.

For adults perennial favorites include the attire of Frankenstein or his bride, Dracula or a witch.

Creative Costume Company makes some of the outfits that Edgell suggests.

Jazz it up with scary contact lenses made by Wild Eyes for $99. Lenses come in a variety of colors, including red, and are available at most optical stores.

"You've got to go early or they'll be gone," she notes.
