TONIGHT ON THE CBS EVENING NEWS
Here's a look at what we are working on for tonight's broadcast of The CBS Evening News from Anchor and Managing Editor, Katie Couric:
Hi everyone.
Tonight, the heat is on President Barack Obama. On his return from his trip to Asia, a trip that produced few results, President Obama will be calling his war council together as he moves toward a decision on whether to add more U.S. forces in Afghanistan. While critics say his decision is taking too long, the president's poll numbers continue to drop. CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Chip Reid reports.
CBS News has learned that the Consumer Products Safety Division is about to announce one of the largest crib recalls in United States history, involving cribs with dropdown sides, fearing they may be unsafe, even deadly. CBS News Consumer Correspondent, Susan Koeppen will lead the broadcast with this report -- it's one you won't want to miss. For more on this story, click Here
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued another report today saying there's a strong link between imported Chinese drywall and corrosion of pipes and wires -- and there may be a link to health problems, as well. CBS News Chief Investigative Correspondent Armen Keteyian has been examining the issue, and found that drywall made in the U.S. may also be dangerous.
In recent weeks, several high-profile football players have been sidelined by concussions, including the Philadelphia Eagles' Brian Westbrook. The hotly debated topic even spurred a Congressional hearing and today, the NFL announced its teams will be working with independent neurologists on concussion issues. Jim Axelrod has the story while CNN's chief medical correspondent and a CBS News contributor Dr. Sanjay Gupta weighs in. For more on this story, Click Here
Finally, an entrepreneurial spirit sparks a wide-ranging wardrobe. In tonight's Assignment America, Steve Hartman meets one kid who is a walking advertisement -- by wearing your t-shirt for a fee.
See you tonight. Katie

Well, if you’re still at a loss as to what kind to make, we have the answers!
