Problems on Amtrak

(AP)  Amtrak has suspended service between New York and Boston because of downed trees. There also is limited service between Philadelphia and New York.

There is no estimate of when service might resume.

Amtrak also has stopped all train service between Washington and Philadelphia. Spokesman John Wolf says part of the problem is a mudslide north of the BWI Airport station. There are also flood conditions farther north.
