Cochlear Corporation is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, but its cochlear implant is FDA-approved. The company's U.S. office is in Denver, Colorado.
Med-El Medical Electronics is based in Innsbruck Austria. The Med-El cochlear implant is currently undergoing clinical trials in the U.S., pending FDA approval.
Self Help for Hard of Hearing People, Inc., (SHHH) is a consumer educational organization devoted to helping the hearing-impaired.

The American Society for Deaf Children was founded in 1967 and is based in Sacramento, California. The non-profit organization helps educate and support families raising hard of hearing and deaf children.
Gallaudet University is "the world's only university for deaf and hard of hearing undergraduate students." The school was established in the 1850s and has since become a world-renowned educational center for the hearing impaired.
