Celeste Holm Remembers Frank
(CBS)
Aside from his lifelong role as a singer, Frank Sinatra was also a great actor, and starred in many films.
CBS News Co-Anchor Jane Robelot spoke with actress Celeste Holm, who co-starred in two films with Frank Sinatra - High Society (1956) and The Tender Trap(1955).
"The wonderful thing about Frank is that he always maintained a kind of rakish spontenaity, like a child," Holm said.
Although many women swooned over Sinatra, Holm said he worked hard on the movie set.
"He was great fun to work. He was very disciplined, very. But he was clever enough to not let anyone know it," Holm remembered.
Holm noted that Sinatra's friends and fans had a special feeling about the entertainer, who touched their lives with his voice and with the characters he played in his films. She said that the vulnerability Sinatra revealed when he performed made him "irresistable."
"He was remarkable," Holm said.
