Is Bloomberg Moving Toward Picking A Side?

From CBS News Director of Political Coverage Steve Chaggaris:

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg will give political junkies another opportunity to guess who, if anyone, he’ll endorse in the presidential race when he delivers a speech at an Independence Party of Minnesota fundraiser Friday morning.

Bloomberg, who'll talk about independent leadership in the context of this year's campaign, is expected to stop short of making a formal endorsement at the $100-per-person fundraiser in Minneapolis. Meantime, CBS News has learned that during a stop in Minnesota two weeks ago, John McCain met with the Independence Party of Minnesota chairman Craig Swaggert.

Clinton Receives Farm Workers Endorsement

SALINAS, CALIF. -- Hillary Clinton's west coast trip brought her the national United Farm Workers' Union endorsement, representing 27,000 members, most of which are Hispanic. Mrs. Clinton took the stage to large a large applause and chants of "Si se puede, Si se puede!" or "Yes we can! Yes we can!"

Clinton Says She's "Vetted" and "Tested"

JOHNSTON, IOWA -- During a press conference on Friday, Hillary Clinton tried setting the record straight on recent reports that one of her top campaign co-chairs in New Hampshire said that Barack Obama's prior drug use as a teen would be played up by Republicans if he were to become the Democratic Party's nominee for President.

"As soon as i found out that one of my supporters and co-chairs in New Hampshire made a statement - asked a series of questions - I made it clear it was not authorized, it was in no way condoned," Clinton said.
