A Refresher on Obama's Senate Race

From CBS News National Correspondent Dean Reynolds, who's covering the Obama campaign:

Barack Obama likes to tout his electability before the large crowds he draws here in Iowa. The statement is supposed to draw a contrast with Sen. Hillary Clinton who, polls show, has very high negatives among the electorate. Obama recalls carrying some of the "reddest" districts in his Illinois Senate race back in 2004. While it is true that Obama won in a landslide, his opponents had a lot to do with it.

McCain Leaves N.H. Early for His Day Job

SALEM, N.H. -- John McCain’s campaign day in New Hampshire was cut short after his first event, where he unveiled parts of his economic plan for America. He canceled all events for the remainder of the day and jetted off to Washington, D.C. for a Senate vote.

Huckabee Stands By His Answers

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Mike Huckabee tonght stands by a 1992 survey he filled out in which he said AIDS patients should be quarantined.

“The one thing I feel like is important to note is that you stick by what you said,” said Huckabee. “I’m not going to go around changing my opinion on everything.”
