(SAN DIEGO) On the flight from Chicago to San Diego last night, Barack Obama admitted to speaking to Jesse Jackson about his fatherhood speech days before Jackson’s slip-up on Fox News. While he acknowledged that Jackson had disagreed with the speech, Obama continued to defend his comments.

McCain wraps up his week-long focus on the economy at a town hall meeting in Hudson, Wisconsin at 11am. He'll hold a press conference on the Straight Talk Express around 1:45pm. Then at 2:15pm, he will make a campaign stop in Eau Claire, WI. McCain will spend Saturday in Sedona, AZ with no public events.

Obama discusses energy security at a town hall meeting in Dayton, Ohio at noon. He has two closed Chicago fundraisers tonight. On Sunday, Obama courts Hispanic voters and speaks at the National Council of La Raza Annual Conference in San Diego, CA. McCain speaks at that conference on Monday.

OBAMA spends today focusing on women voters, beginning with a fund-raising breakfast in New York City with Hillary Clinton and Obama's half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng. According to prepared remarks, he's expected to aim his comments about the economy toward working women as well as touch on equal pay and abortion. At 1:30pm, Obama will speak to women about economic security at a town hall meeting in Fairfax, Virginia. Michelle Obama will speak to Missouri women during an 11am discussion in Kansas City.

McCAIN continues his week-long focus on the economy with a town hall meeting at noon at Bayloff Stamped Products, a small business in Belleville, Michigan. He'll later swing by his campaign’s Minnesota headquarters at 5:30pm. At 7pm, McCAIN participates in a town hall meeting via telephone with voters in Washington, D.C.
