McCain Calls on Paper to Release Video

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(MIAMI) – After dropping the references to Barack Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers for most of the past couple of weeks, John McCain brought it back up today during a radio interview here.

“We should know about their relationship, including, apparently, information that is held by the Los Angeles Times concerning an event that Mr. Ayers attended with a PLO spokesman. The Los Angeles Times refuses to make that videotape public,” McCain said. “I’m not in the business of talking about media bias, but what if there was a tape with John McCain with a neo-Nazi outfit being held by some media outlet? I think the treatment of the issue would be slightly different.”

Clinton Campaign Offers No Insight On Plans Post-DNC Meeting

(CBS)
From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

NEW YORK -- The Clinton campaign today held an hour-long conference call that offered no insight into the campaign’s thoughts moving forward should tomorrow's meeting of the Democratic National Committee’s Rules and Bylaws Committee rule against fully seating the Florida and Michigan delegates at the national convention.

Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson sternly reminded reporters on the call that despite their best efforts to glean a bit of strategic information from the campaign as it looks past the committee's meeting, that they would not discuss it.

“You and others can ask this question in many different ways, but the answer is going to be the same: We are hopeful and expectant that the committee in its wisdom is going to do the right thing,” Wolfson said, almost scolding a reporter on the call.

Huckabee: "Rough Inning" Won't Prevent Win

(CBS)
From CBS News' Joy Lin:

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI -- In from the wind and snow, Mike Huckabee entered a sweaty room packed with hundreds of supporters wearing beads and toting homemade signs. Preliminary results showed him just behind Rudy Giuliani in fourth place in the Florida primary.

“For those of you who think we should be discouraged, let me just remind you that going into tonight, we were second in delegate count,” said Huckabee. “We’re playing all 9 innings of this ball game. Even the [St. Louis] Cardinals, occasionally, have a rough inning. But they know how to win championships.”

Romney Praises Bush On Iraq

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

TAMPA, FLA. -- On the morning of the critical Florida primary, Mitt Romney applauded President Bush’s remarks on Iraq during last night’s State of the Union address.

“I thought it was very impressive,” Romney said to a crowd of about 150 at a rally in Tampa. “This is a person who’s no longer looking for a political career. He’s only thinking about what’s right for the country — what’s right for America.”

Giuliani Spends A Little Time With His Friends

From CBS News' Ryan Corsaro:

BROWARD COUNTY, FLA. -- “They always want to know if I have foreign policy experience,” Rudy Giuliani says between pitches. “I taught the prime minister of Japan how to throw out a first ball.”
