Palin Reveals 2012 Plans: Kindergarten For Son

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(PHOENIX) - Wearing an “Alaska Grown” sweatshirt, Sarah Palin stood under the desert sun to take questions from members of her traveling press corps one last time before returning to her home state.

The former Republican vice presidential nominee reflected on what was a relatively short, but indisputably strange, trip on the campaign trail. Asked about her thoughts on 2012, Palin was coy.

“Oh, you know it seems like so far,” she said as she held her six-month-old son Trig in her arms. “2012, we will be enrolling him in Kindergarten.”

Palin Casts Historic Vote: “Forever, I’m Gonna Be Sarah From Alaska”

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(WASILLA, ALASKA) - After campaigning coast to coast on Monday, Sarah Palin caught a few winks on a red-eye flight to her home state, where fresh snow glistened in the early-morning moonlight as the temperature hovered around 14 degrees.

Palin voted early this morning inside the tiny City Hall building where just six years ago she presided as mayor of this once unknown frontier town outside Anchorage. Proudly donning her “I Voted Today” sticker, the Alaska governor delivered a short statement to reporters and took a few questions before she heads to Phoenix to find out whether she’ll become the first female vice president of the United States.

Palin Defends Hank Williams, Jr. After He Says, “Obama’s Not Real Crazy About” The National Anthem

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) - At a Sarah Palin rally here tonight, country music star Hank Williams, Jr. took the stage to sing the national anthem, as he has done at Palin events across the country for weeks. But this time, the singer decided to share his personal views about Barack Obama with the crowd.

“You know, I’m usually at ‘Monday Night Football' tonight, but Colorado, this is a lot more important tonight,” Williams, Jr. said. “Join me now in our national—you know, that song that, uh, Mr. Obama’s not real crazy about, we’re singing it right now.”

Palin Suggests Executive Experience Is Key Presidential Attribute

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(JEFFERSON CITY, MO.) - Here on her second stop of a six-rally final day of the campaign, Sarah Palin briefly went off script to question whether a United States senator has the right kind of experience to be president.

Palin set up her remarks with a familiar attack on Barack Obama’s relative newcomer status.

“If you think about it, Barack Obama’s record, what is in his record?” she asked the crowd of over 15,000 who were gathered around the state capitol. “What has he accomplished? He spent about 300 days in the U.S. Senate before becoming a presidential candidate.”

Palin Wonders Whether Democrats Think Terrorists Have Changed Their Minds

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(COLUMBIA, MO.) - A fired-up Sarah Palin began her final campaign push at an outdoor rally on an unseasonably warm weather in the wealthy Cleveland suburb of Lakewood. At various points in her speech, the small crowd of under 1,000 people chanted, “We will win!” and the Alaska governor seemed to feed off their energy.

No Sleep ‘Til Phoenix For Palin

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(CLEVELAND) - Sarah Palin campaigns in six cities in five states on Monday, and that’s not even the most grueling part of her final push before Election Day.

After her last campaign rally in Elko, Nev., concludes at about 11:15pm local time, Palin will fly overnight to Anchorage, so that she can vote at around 7am Alaska time in Wasilla. She’ll then fly straight to Phoenix to be in place for the Republicans’ Election Night party and isn’t expected to land there until about 7:30pm ET.

Palin Unleashes New Attack Against Obama On Coal

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(MARIETTA, OHIO) - Seizing on a newly released audio tape picked up by the Drudge Report, Sarah Palin took the opportunity here in coal country to accuse Barack Obama of “talking about bankrupting the coal industry.”

“He said that, sure, if the industry wants to build coal-fired power plants, then they can go ahead and try, he says, but they can do it only in a way that will bankrupt the coal industry, and he's comfortable letting that happen,” Palin said. “And you got to listen to the tape.”

Someone Might Want To Update Sarah Palin’s Teleprompter

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(CANTON, OHIO) - Last week, a familiar dirty trick was reported in parts of Virginia where fake fliers were distributed, advising Democrats to vote on Wednesday, Nov. 5, rather than on Election Day. But at a rally here this morning, Sarah Palin inadvertently implored her own supporters to get out and vote the day after ballots have already been counted.

Palin Makes Final Ohio Push

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(CANTON, OHIO) - Since becoming the Republican vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin has spent more time in Ohio than any other state but Pennsylvania. On Sunday, she’ll blanket the state one last time before Election Day, holding rallies in Canton, Marietta, Columbus and Batavia.

The amount of time Palin is spending in Ohio in the final days shows just how crucial the Republicans consider victory in the state to be. On Monday morning, the Alaska governor will hold one final Ohio rally in Lakewood, just outside Cleveland.
