Gadahn Warns Against Obama’s ‘Deception’

(As Sahab)
American al Qaeda figure Adam Gadahn accused U.S. President Barack Obama of standing behind the killing of Muslims in Palestine, Afghanistan and Pakistan in a new videotape produced by the terrorist group’s media arm As Sahab.

“O’ nation of Islam, you have seen the truth about Obama in the Gaza Holocaust which he approved of, and in Muslim Palestine which he wants to turn Jewish and in Afghanistan and in the tribal areas which he bombed and is still bombing,” Gadahn said.

He also criticized Obama’s plan to send more troops to Afghanistan, saying it was going to result in “increasing the spilling of Muslim blood.”

Like al Qaeda leader’s Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahri, Gadahn urged his audience not to fall for Obama’s talk about his respect for Islam, warning them that this was just an attempt to steer Muslims away from jihad.

Gadahn described Obama’s remarks during his visit to Turkey, which included saying that the U.S. was not at war with Islam, as “deceptive, false and sugar-coated words of endearment” intended to “divert the eyes of the world in general and Muslims in particular from the ugly and continuous crimes of the crusaders in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and other lands of Islam.”

Taliban: “Obama’s Speech Nothing But Deceiving Slogans”

The Taliban’s Shura Council released described Thursday's speech by U.S. President Barack Obama to the Muslim world from Cairo as “a failed attempt to dceive the Muslim world.” They urged Muslims to remain committed to fighting in order to defend their holy sites and their land against "American aggressors."

“Obama failed to send a transparent and honest message to the Muslim nation,” the Internet statement said. “His words were in vain and did not suggest any practical or realistic change to America’s policies hostile to Muslims.”

The Shura Council, headed by Mullah Omar, accused Obama of using recycled and deceiving American slogans that hid the President’s true intentions to continue to kill Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, to publicise the legitimacy of the U.S. aggression in both countries and to deprive Muslims of their first line of defense represented in the Islamist militants. The council also questioned the President’s credibility regarding his remarks on ending U.S. military presence in Muslim countries.

The Taliban also rejected Obama’s talk about Jewish suffering at the hands of the Nazis, while omitting to compare that to all that Palestinians have to endure under the Israeli occupation.

Bin Laden’s Audio Focused on Pakistan, Not Obama

Al Qaeda’s leader Osama bin Laden’s latest audio statement, parts of which were aired by the Arab news network al Jazeera on Wednesday, focused on the situation in Pakistan and criticizing the government of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari.

The timing of the release of the statement, a day before U.S. President Barack Obama’s much-anticipated speech to Muslims out of Cairo, and Bin Laden’s attacks on Obama in the audio seemed to suggest al Qaeda’s leader’s statement was intended as a pre-reaction to the speech.

Bin Laden Statement: Obama’s Policies “Pave The Way For New Long Wars”

In a new audio statement aired by the al Jazeera Arab news channel on Wednesday, al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden accused President Barack Obama and his administration of “panting new seeds of hatred and vengeance towards America” by supporting the military operations against militants in Pakistan.

“The number of these seeds equates that of those who have suffered and been made homeless in the Swat valley and the tribal areas in northern and southern Waziristan, as well as those who sympathize with them,” he added.

Al Qaeda’s leader compared President Obama’s policies to those of his predecessor President George W. Bush and said they created “more enmity towards Muslims” and “paved the way for new long wars.”

“Let the American people prepare to continue harvesting what their White House leaders grow, in the years and decades to come,” he added.

Bin Laden’s statement comes a day after al Qaeda’s number two Ayman al Zawahri said President Obama was not welcomed in Egypt, where he is expected to address Muslims on Thursday.

Bin Laden also accused Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari of receiving his orders from President Obama and claimed one million Muslims, including elderly people, women and children, had to flee their homes because of the operations in the valley.

Zawahiri To Obama: "You Are Not Welcome in Egypt"

(As Sahab)
Al Qaeda No. 2, Ayman Zawahiri said in a new audiotape today that President Obama is not welcome in Egypt. Commenting on Obama's upcoming visit to Cairo, Zawahiri said that President Obama's message to the Muslim World has already been delivered. "Obama's message to the Muslim World was delivered when he visited the Wailing wall, with the Jewish skullcap on his head…when he performed the Jewish prayers despite claiming that he is Christian," Zawahiri said, reminding his audience of Obama's pledge before the AIPAC conference to make Jerusalem the undivided capital of Israel.

Taliban Attacks Obama in Online Magazine, Sets Conditions For Negotiations

The militant Afghani Taliban movement accused U.S. President Barack Obama of being "an enemy of Islam" even long before he ran for presidency in 2008, and warned the U.S. president that "God shall punish him if he unjustly attacked oppressed people,” according to an article in the group’s online magazine Somood. The article was written by Ikram Miyundi and appeared in the 36th issue of magazine, which was posted on the Internet today.

Another writer, Shehab Eddin Ghaznawi listed the conditions set by the Taliban to agree a peaceful settlement and negotiations with the U.S. over the Afghan problem in another article entitled “Obama Uses Contradicting Policies To Achieve His Goals.”

The writer said conditions include setting Taliban prisoners free, removing the Taliban and its leaders from the U.S. terrorism list and withdrawing U.S. forces from Afghanistan to allow for the Afghan people to choose their government “with their free will.”

The group reserved a large portion of its magazine to expose what it described as U.S. atrocities against Afghan civilians and once again reassured its people that victory was around the corner, and that the country shall soon be “liberated.”

The magazine also included an interview with the deputy head of Taliban’s military committee in Paktika, Mohammed Basir Saheb Zada, who talked about the situation on the ground in his district and assured that NATO forces are cornered in specific locations in the area.

There were also articles about an increase in suicide rates among U.S. soldiers, U.S. media reports describing Taliban’s propaganda endeavors as being successful and a description of the group’s operations in Khost.

Egypt’s Al Jamaa al Islamiya Urges Al Qaeda To Open Dialogue With Obama

The Egyptian Islamist group al Jamaa al Islamiyya urged al Qaeda to put aside the group’s long-standing differences with the United States and make good use of President Obama’s efforts to begin a new era that would bring back the values of justice, tolerance, and would give people back their rights. The group called on al Qaeda to open dialogue channels with the U.S. President, who according to the statement, could be “today’s friend.”

The group also said it looked forward to Obama’s visit to Egypt, and hailed the efforts he undertook in the first 100 days of his presidency. “We value the efforts he exerted in the past 100 days, to end this false "clashes of civilizations" saga that President Bush has created for no reason and which harmed the United States more than any other parties.”

The group also invited President Obama to learn more about the group’s experience in Egypt and about the recent ideological revisions adopted by its leadership. The statement also urged President Obama to release the group’s spiritual leader, Omar Abdel Rahman, a blind cleric serving a life sentence for his role in the 1993 World Trade Centre bombing.

Iraqi Insurgent Group Sends Message to Obama

The spokesperson for Iraqi insurgent group The Islamic Army in Iraq (ISI) said U.S. President Barack Obama can choose between withdrawing from Iraq and thus enjoying friendly relations with Iraq and other Arab countries and facing a vicious war that would drain the U.S. even more and enable Iran to strengthen its presence in the country.

Ali al Noeimy addressed the U.S. president in a 22-minute tape released on militant Islamist Internet forums by The Islamic Army in Iraq on Monday.

Al Noeimy started his message by analyzing the situation. “The single superpower status that America has strived to maintain for decades is now gone. America has lost its global leadership, its economy has collapsed and became casualty of the credit crunch, it gave other countries the chance to rebel against it and it is no longer capable of supporting its allies,” he said.

Al Noeimy accused former U.S. President George W. Bush of offering Iraq to the Iranians on a silver platter “without needing to fire a single bullet.”

“The arrogance and stupidity of the previous administration is what gave Iran today enough influence that could enable it to control Iraqi oil sources without spending a single dollar, or firing a single bullet,” said al Noeimy.

Al Noeimy was however optimistic about how things could be different under President Obama’s leadership.

“We look with eager anticipation to your decisions and your statements and also to your speech before the Turkish parliament. This shows us that you are at the beginning of the road so don’t break your promises to the American people or to the other people,” he said.

Taliban Tell Obama To Reconsider His Afghanistan Strategy

The militant Afghani Taliban movement advised U.S. President Barack Obama to reconsider his Afghanistan strategy and work on withdrawing his troops from the country as soon as possible.

The request came in an article published Wednesday in the 34th issue of the group’s online magazine Somood. According to the author who was identified as Ikram Miundi, Obama got carried away with promises he made during his electoral campaign. Mundi argued that it was now time to bring some reason into what the U.S. should be doing in Iraq.

The author called Obama's wish to restore the reputation of the U.S. which was tarnished by former U.S. President George W. Bush, withdraw from Iraq, defeat the Taliban, abolish al Qaeda and improve relations with the Muslim world were "nothing but the wishes of a drunken man chasing after the presidency and wasn’t really realizing what he was saying."

He finally advised President Obama to leave Afghanistan and said it was the only option he’s got left. “Ending the occupation and leaving Afghanistan to its people might seem like a difficult choice for the enemy of God and the enemy of Muslims Obama, but it’s the only choice he’s got left."

The magazine also included an interview with Taliban’s commander in Semngan, who talked about the operations undertaken by his men against NATO forces and expressed his optimism that next year will be a year of great victory for the militants.

There was also an announcement that the Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar has issued a decree appointing Mufti Abdel Hakim Ben Mulavi Hamad as the head of the Taliban’s Economic Committee, tasked with raising donations and funds for the Taliban.

There was also an article that criticized the charges placed against Sudanese President Omar al Bashir and which compared him to President Bush and Prime Minister Olmert, who according to the article are a lot more criminal than the Sudanese leader.

ISI Leader Calls Obama “a Criminal” in New Audio

(link)
Abu Omar al Baghdadi, the leader of al Qaeda's coalition organization, the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI), lashed out at U.S. President Barak Obama, calling him “a criminal” and “a liar” in a new audiotape released on the Internet today.

Al Baghdadi said the U.S. has been defeated in Iraq and cited President Obama’s election as evidence of such defeat. “The American people acknowledged that its army has failed in Iraq, suffering serious economic and military losses,” al Baghdadi said, adding that that was the reason for choosing a black man to become president.

According to al Baghdadi, Obama’s withdrawal plan is nothing but “a deceitful label for a newly conceived colonial approach.” He said Obama was merely trying to fool naïve Iraqis and make them believe that he intends to pullout his forces within three years, at the end of which he would come up with a new excuse to maintain his forces for another three years, and so on.

The ISI leader went on addressing President Obama, preaching about what he described as true heroism showcased by the militants, and the virtues of martyrdom, as opposed to that of U.S. troops. He specifically referred to a soldier called “ Jordan ” which he claims Obama had hailed as a hero in one of his speeches.

In the statement, al Baghdadi also announces the end of “Operation Dignity” which he launched in March 2007 to counter the security operations launched against al Qaeda operatives in the Sunni triangle. He also announced the launch of a new operation called “Harvesting Goodness,” only saying that it was designed to address the current situation in Iraq without giving any further details.

Al Baghdadi ended his message with a call for unity among Sunni militant groups, inside Iraq and abroad. He called on all parties to turn a new leaf and join forces to face the new and serious challenges ahead. “We extend our hands to you with forgiveness and support to all Muslims in Mesopotamia and abroad, no matter what they have done, hoping to put all the problems of the past behind our backs.”

The ISI has stepped out its attacks across Iraq in recent weeks, giving rise to speculations that it may be on the rebound after a long period of steady decline.
