The Popular Iranian Resistance Movement, which is most commonly known by its name Jundullah, denied in an internet statement that any of the three men executed by the Iranian regime had anything to do with the bombing of Zehdan mosque last Thursday - an attack which the group had taken credit for. The statement indicated that only one of the three men was connected to the group, but had no link with the group’s military activities.

In retaliation for the death of the three men, the group urged Baluchis and Sunnis to execute all settlers in Baluchestan. “We hereby urge all Baluch youths to execute all settlers present in baluchestan, and we shall offer a reward for anybody who kills a settler.”

The Iraqi insurgent group the Army of al Mujahideen released a new video showing an RKG-3 grenade attack on a U.S. MRAP in what the group said was Baghdad. The video was not dated.

The leader of the Emirate of Caucasus, Dokka Abu Usman, denounced the use of cluster bombs in areas inhabited by civilian population in Caucasus, by the Russian Army.

“I want to demonstrate to you today the arsenal of gifts brought by Putin to the Caucasus,” Dokka said, in the video released by Kavkaz TV.

“Putin and his agents in Caucasus are demonstrating every day how they introduce order, how they bring peace to Caucasian people," he said.

Dokka displayed to the camera one of those bombs, which he said killed and injured many poor Chechen villagers who accidentally stepped on them as they walked in the bushes near their villages.

The militant Afghani Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the attack that killed one U.S. soldier and one Afghan civilian outside Kabul Wednesday.

The group’s spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in the statement posted on the group’s website that Taliban fighters carried out the attack on the Kabul-Bagram highway in Dahsabz district, using a remote controlled landmine. According to the statement, the landmine destroyed the two U.S. army vehicles and killed 14 U.S. soldiers.

The Salahuddine al Ayyoubi Brigades released another short video showing two operatives lying in wait and then hurling two thermal bombs at a U.S. armored vehicle as it travelled through Baghdad’s al Khadraa district.
The message accompanying the video claimed the armored vehicle was destroyed in the attack.

“The Islamic Emirate of Caucasus” announced on many militant Islamist websites that it will soon release a video featuring a statement by the group’s leader Dukho Omarov in which he will unveil details about the use of cluster bombs by the Russian forces against the civilian population in Chechnya.

The media section of the Iraqi insurgent group Hamas Iraq released a short video showing a thermal bomb being hurled at a U.S. armored vehicle “Stryker” in the province of Dyiala . The statement accompanying the clip alleged that at least one soldier was killed as the armored vehicle received a direct hit.

A new video released by the militant Afghani Taliban included footage of a bomb-making workshop, where men were seen busily preparing the explosives to be used in a suicide attack.

The one-hour video is a compilation tape that shows some of the group’s operations carried out in recent months. It is entitled “Field of Jihad” and includes footage of three suicide operations.

As in other similar propaganda video, the group included footages of the explosives in the cars before the attack, the suicide bomber saying his goodbyes and the attack itself. However, in the three attacks the cameraman always missed or left the camera out of frame at the moment of the explosion.

The video also included footage of the militants using two bulldozers to demolish a military outpost, as well as some night shots of a group of militants firing rockets.

The video, which according to the group was produced in December 2008, closed with a group of Taliban fighters just driving around a pick up truck, then resting in an orchard.

Al Gurabaa organization distributed a new nine-page illustrated manual for the preparation of Ammonium Nitrate using ammonium, sugar and wood dust.

Meanwhile, a member of the same forum using the alias “Song of Terror” posted an entire library of bomb-making books including “Professional Homemade Cherry Bombs,” “The Manual of Explosives, Military Pyrotechnics and Chemical Warfare Agents,” as well as “Death by Deception,” which is a book with schematics and descriptions for booby-trapped talking teddy bears and toilet paper.

Al Ansar Media Foundation released a video of a car suicide bomb attack on a gathering of the members of the Kurdish Peshmerga militia in the village of Khorsabad, 15 kilometres northeast of Mosul.

According to the video, the attack was executed by a 23-year man identified as Abu Hamza al Ansari. The 12-minute video was produced in 2008.

Al Ansar media is the mouthpiece of an insurgent group called Ansar al Islam.
