Gadahn Warns Against Obama’s ‘Deception’

(As Sahab)
American al Qaeda figure Adam Gadahn accused U.S. President Barack Obama of standing behind the killing of Muslims in Palestine, Afghanistan and Pakistan in a new videotape produced by the terrorist group’s media arm As Sahab.

“O’ nation of Islam, you have seen the truth about Obama in the Gaza Holocaust which he approved of, and in Muslim Palestine which he wants to turn Jewish and in Afghanistan and in the tribal areas which he bombed and is still bombing,” Gadahn said.

He also criticized Obama’s plan to send more troops to Afghanistan, saying it was going to result in “increasing the spilling of Muslim blood.”

Like al Qaeda leader’s Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahri, Gadahn urged his audience not to fall for Obama’s talk about his respect for Islam, warning them that this was just an attempt to steer Muslims away from jihad.

Gadahn described Obama’s remarks during his visit to Turkey, which included saying that the U.S. was not at war with Islam, as “deceptive, false and sugar-coated words of endearment” intended to “divert the eyes of the world in general and Muslims in particular from the ugly and continuous crimes of the crusaders in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and other lands of Islam.”

The party also called for an end of the war and for stopping the partaking of Pakistani forces in what it called “Obama’s failed Crusades.” It also called for an end of the U.S. military presence in Pakistan and urged Pakistani soldiers to rebel against their leadership.

Turkistan Group ‘Commander’ Warns Against Extraditing Turkistanis to China

(East Turkistan Islamic Party )
The East Turkistan Islamic Party released a video statement by “Commander Abdullah Mansour.”

In the video, which was released in Uighur language, Mansour warned governments against arresting and extraditing Turkistanis to China.

His warning comes following Pakistani media reports suggesting that nine members of the East Turkistan Islamic Party had been arrested and handed over to China. Mansour dismissed the report and threatened that the party would retaliate against any government that arrests party members.

Abdullah Mansour is the same commander who declared war on China in a video tape released last August. He then warned that the group would be targeting the Olympic Games in Beijing, and asked Muslims not to go to the games.

Abu Qatada Says British Government Full of Venom Against Islam and Muslims

Radical Islamic cleric Abu Qatada issued a long statement from his prison cell in the top British security prison of Long Martin where he lashed out at the British government for what he said was an unjust treatment and prosecution of Muslims. His statement, which was widely distributed on a number of militant Islamist Internet forums and chatrooms, may have come as a reaction to the decision to back Abu Qatada’s deportation to Jordan.

Al Libi Urges Jihad Against Newly Elected President in Somalia

(link)
Senior al Qaeda leader Abu Yehya al Libi, called the newly-elected Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed “a traitor and a conspirator” and urged militants to attacks his regime. The statement came, in a new video tape released by al Qaeda’s media wing As Sahab on a number of militant Islamist Internet forums Friday.

“The enemies of Islam wanted you to approve the establishment of a secular state that they decorated with the appointment of a traitor and an conspirator from those who altered what’s best with what’s worst,” al Libi said, adding that the new Somali government was nothing but another example of the U.S.-made administration model applied in Afghanistan. He compared the new Somali president to Afghani President Hamid Karzai and referred to Washington’s approval of the new president as evidence of him being a traitor.

Al Libi also hailed the Islamist militants’ “victory” over Ethiopian forces in Somalia and told them they’ve achieved such victory through their jihad and sacrifices and not through the United Nations or any other foreign intervention.

The Libyan al-Qaeda ideologue told jihadi leaders in Somalia not to drift from their initial ultimate goal, which is the establishment of an Islamic State governed by Islamic law. He stressed that they have to continue the fight until this goal is achieved.

Al Libi also called for attacks against peacekeeping forces present in Somalia, arguing that they constitute an occupation force that is just as bad as any other western occupation. “Continue to wage your campaigns against the Ugandan forces that are occupying your land and make them taste what you already inflicted upon the Crusader-Ethiopian forces. Kill them wherever you find them.”

By urging a fight against the new Somali government, al Libi silenced jihadi voices who called for “giving a chance” to the former militant leader of the Islamic Courts Union. Shortly after Sheikh Ahmad’s nomination, four Somali factions, including the militant Shabab al Mujahideen movement, announced the formation of a common front to fight Ahmad’s regime under the name of “The Islamic Party.” Other factions however were more indecisive with some voicing support to Sheikh Ahmad such as, including Jamaat al Sunna wal Jamaa, the Islamic Courts Union and the Muslim Brotherhood.

This is the second video appearance by al Libi this week and the fourth in 2009. Earlier in January, he issued a message where calling for attacks on Britain and other Western countries. Last week he appeared along with other top al-Qaeda leaders in a video tape paying homage to slain al Qaeda commander, Abu Laith al Libi.

Yaqin Media Confirms Hack Attack Against Forums

Al Yaqin Media Center, one of the sources of militant Islamist propaganda materials, warned members of al Hesbah Internet forum against logging on websites that look similar to the popular website using the same template design and bearing the same logo. The warning came in a statement distributed yesterday on several militant Islamist forums. “In order to protect your security and your personal information, we would like to warn you against logging into any website that uses the same name and appears to have the same interface as Al Hesbah, unless they’ve been advertised by al Fajr media, or al Yaqin,” the statement said. “We are making huge efforts to bring the website back online in the shortest delays.”

On November 18, Al Hesbah, one of the main forums for al Qaeda supporters, and its 11 mirror websites, were all knocked offline. The sudden disappearance of the popular forum followed a wave of cyber attacks on other similar websites such as al Ekhlaas, al Buraq and al Firdaws, who went out of action on September 10, 2008. The shutting down of the websites came a day before the release of the annual al Qaeda propaganda video commemorating the Sept. 11th attacks.

Al Fajr Media claimed at the time that the websites were down because of technical problems, and would be back online very shortly. In spite of that, the websites remained shut down.

A “whois” domain name search of al Ekhlaas and all its mirror websites returned the same result: “domain name is not currently registered,” which means that all websites have been shut down by the Internet Registry for the domain names under which the website had been registered.

William McCants, a consultant at West Point ’s CTC, told the Guardian he believes such attacks were more the kind of concerted action undertaken by governments, not by individuals. "I think it's probably being orchestrated by several governments and it would have to be on the black operations (illegal but deniable) side," McCants said. "Whoever is doing this knows what they are doing. They are being surgically precise."

Some second-row Islamist forums are using the current circumstances to promote themselves by negotiating to acquire Al Fajr Franchise, which would make them official outlets for al Qaeda propaganda.
