Hey everyone! I spent the morning at the White House today with first lady Laura Bush, who provided a tour of the holiday decorations there.

We chatted in the Blue Room, where Mrs. Bush explained her role in choosing the theme for the ornaments that decorate the Christmas tree featured there. This year's theme celebrates our national parks and is adorned by ornaments from across the country. Check out our interview and see who made a cameo appearance!

On Wednesday, I had an amazing experience attending the annual White House Tee Ball Initiative on the South Lawn. President Bush, a lifelong baseball fan, started the event in 2001 to allow kids a chance to come to the White House and to raise awareness about physical activity and the importance of youth sports. This year, it was girls' day, with young softball players swinging for the fences!

I always get a kick out of folks asking me what I do after 9 a.m. Sometimes people assume that our day is done when we get off the air and that we have the rest of the afternoon to hang out. In reality, it’s super busy and sometimes you feel like you’re going at breakneck speed.
