Barack Obama Ecstasy Pills Hit Streets: Approval Ratings High

PALMVIEW, Texas - President Barack Obama's approval rating may be hovering in the 50 percent range, but that doesn't mean America's Commander-in-Chief isn’t catching on with new constituents.

There is now a line of Ecstasy pills made in the image of the 44th president of the United States, according to Texas police who have snatched a batch off the streets.

Fort Hood Victim Russell Seager: Army Psychiatrist Laid to Rest Today

- Funeral services for the second Wisconsin soldier, Russell Seager, killed in the Fort Hood, Texas, shooting spree will be held Monday.

Seager, 51, of Racine, Wis., was a psychiatrist who joined the Army a few years ago because he wanted to help veterans returning to civilian life, said his uncle, Larry Seager of Mauston.

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A religious Christian in Florida tried to send Fort Hood massacre suspect Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan a bouquet of flowers and a note that calls him a "hero," but the man got a knock on his door from the FBI instead, according to a Florida television station.

Ft. Hood Suspect Nidal Hasan: Muslim Soldiers Should Not Have to Fight Muslims

WASHINGTON - Whether or not it was a cry for help or a warning of violence to come, the presentation Fort Hood shooting suspect Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan made to medical colleagues a year-and-a half ago was not what it was supposed to be.


In June 2007, Hasan warned colleagues at the Walter Reed Medical Center that the U.S. military should let Muslim soldiers be released as conscientious objectors instead of fighting in wars against other Muslims, in order to "decrease adverse events," according to a report Tuesday in The Washington Post.

Those who died that day were young and old, natural-born and immigrants, but all were serving this country when they were allegedly gunned down by Army psychologist Nidal Malik Hasan.

Texas Woman Fakes Breast Cancer, Uses Donations for Implants Instead of Treatment, Say Police

WACO, Texas - As fakes go, a Texas woman appears guilty of a double-breasted outrage.

And that might be the nicest thing you can say about Trista Joy Lathern, 24, who's charged with taking thousands of dollars raised to treat her for breast cancer, and spending the money on breast implants instead.

But wait, there's more. Lathern never had breast cancer in the first place.

DALLAS - At least 20 Dallas police officers from five patrol divisions have improperly cited drivers for not being able to speak English in the past three years, according to records obtained by the Dallas Morning News.

Dallas Cops Gave 38 Tickets for Drivers Not Speaking English, Were They Wrong?

DALLAS - Ernestina Mondragon understood she would have to pay a fine when a rookie Dallas police officer ticketed her for making an illegal U-turn.

But it was the ticket he gave her for being a "non-English speaking driver" that shocked her.

She wasn't the first. Dallas police officers have improperly cited drivers for not being able to speak English 38 times in the past three years.

Taser Granny Wants $135,000 For Her Pain

AUSTIN, Texas - Need money fast? You may want to consider being tasered by police.

A Texas county has offered a $40,000 settlement to a 72-year-old woman whose Tasering by a deputy constable was captured on video and shown nationwide.

Kathryn Winkfein, who was shocked with a stun gun after she dared the constable to do so during a May traffic stop, wants $135,000 for pain and suffering, medical expenses and humiliation.

John Tyler High School Student Held in Teacher's Death

TYLER, Texas - Todd R. Henry, a special-education teacher at John Tyler High School, who had a passion for music was fatally stabbed Wednesday morning in a Texas classroom, and police took a 16-year-old student into custody.

Henry, 50, worked with students who were either emotionally or behaviorally challenged, according to his older brother, Jody Henry.
