Will Anne Pressly's Killer Curtis Vance Get Death in Anchorwoman Case?

(AP Photo/KATV Television)
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Will a Little Rock jury deliver a death sentence to the killer of Arkansas news anchor Anne Pressly?

The jury convicted Curtis Lavelle Vance of murder, rape and other charges on Wednesday. It is now weighing whether to impose the death penalty on Vance, who police say admitted to beating the KATV anchorwoman with a wood-handled garden tool.

The attack shattered Pressly's face and sent her into a coma. She never regained consciousness and died five days after the Oct. 20, 2008 attack.

(Personal Photo)
NEW YORK - If the FBI has it right, Dennis Earl Bradford almost got away with it.

19 years ago, Jennifer Schuett was abducted, raped and left for dead at the age of eight, in Dickinson, Texas. She survived, but her assailant walked free.

No More Collect Calls For Alleged Army Recruiter Shooter

(AP Photo/Danny Johnston)
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - No more collect calls for Abdulhakim Muhammad, the man accused of killing a soldier outside of an Army recruiting center in Arkansas, at least not to the press.

Muhammad called The Associated Press twice this week to discuss the shooting death of Pvt. William Andrew Long. Little Rock District Judge Alice Lightle had heard enough. She sent a letter to the Pulaski County jail referencing a gag order she previously issued blocking those involved in the case from talking to reporters. The judge said the order applied to Muhammad as well.
