NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NFL star Steve McNair, who died in a murder-suicide with his mistress at a Nashville condo, helped pay for a different apartment occupied by another woman, court and utility records show.

Authorities said McNair was shot by 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi on July 4 before she shot herself. Friends said Kazemi suspected McNair was having a second affair with another young woman. McNair was also married.

JACKSON, Miss. - Even though he left no will, Steve McNair's entire immediate family has been provided for under instructions the slain former NFL quarterback left before his death, his agent said Wednesday.

McNair's wife, Mechelle, is not trying to exclude McNair's mother and two children he had with other women, his agent, James “Bus” Cook, told The Associated Press.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Authorities say former NFL star Steve McNair had a blood-alcohol level twice the legal limit when his girlfriend shot him to death.

Tennessee Assistant Medical Examiner Feng Li said Monday that a toxicology report also showed a trace amount of marijuana in the body of Sahel Kazemi.

Police say the 20-year-old Kazemi shot McNair July 4 in a Nashville condo before killing herself.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Federal prosecutors announced gun charges Friday against a convicted murderer who admitted he sold the pistol that was used to kill ex-NFL quarterback Steve McNair.

Adrian J. Gilliam Jr., 33, of LaVergne, Tenn., was arrested by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

He is charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Conviction could bring a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, federal prosecutors said.

NEW YORK - The last few weeks have shocked America with tales of two horrific, jealously-fueled murders. NFL great Steve McNair was murdered by his mistress in his Nashville condo, say police.

And in Brazil, big-hearted boxing champ Arturo Gatti was strangled to death by his exotic dancer wife while he drunkenly slept, according to Brazilian authorities.

The twin murders are as disturbing as they are salacious. But it's not the first time that sports and murder have crossed paths.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - At just 19 years old, Sahel Kazemi thought she had it all: She was dating former NFL star Steve McNair, partying in VIP rooms and vacationing in Las Vegas.

When her family visited Nashville for her 20th birthday less than two months ago, they said she was very happy and planning to move in with McNair.

She thought he was in the final stages of a divorce from his wife of 12 years.
