LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. ― The Broward Sheriff's Office has a pretty good lead on a burglar who stole several guns from a Lauderdale Lakes pawn shop. That's because the suspect, described by officials as athletic, was caught on camera breaking into the pawn shop on Friday.

Surveillance cameras rolling inside the Peoples Pawn Shop captured his every move. Detectives say the suspect climbed onto the roof of the Florida store. He cut a hole in the roof and threw a rope down into the store to make his descent.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Jamie Serich and Colin Hart were two Ohio high school seniors, found shot to death as they lay next to each other in a local cemetery.

But was this tragedy a murder or a suicide-pact?

That is what police are trying to figure out in the small city of Boardman, Ohio, just outside of Youngstown.

Serich, 17, and Hart, 18, were both students at Cardinal Mooney High School, whose football team just won the Ohio Division III championship Friday - its seventh state title.

JUPITER, Fla. - Paul Merhige, the man police believe shot and killed four members of his extended family on Thanksgiving day and has since been on the run, was seen on surviellance video inside a gun shop a day before the killings.

Police say Merhige murdered his aunt, two twin sisters, one of whom was pregnant, and a 6-year-old girl, at a Jupiter, Fla. Home, after a family meal on Thanksgiving day.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The police officer in a small Arkansas town who fired a Taser gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl has been fired for violating department policy.

Officer Dustin Bradshaw was not terminated for using the stun gun itself, but for failing to use the camera attached to it, according to officials.

ESSEX, Md. - Visitors of spooky haunted houses are supposed to leave terrified. But it was a chain-saw-wielding costumed employee who was left shaking when an off-duty police officer put a gun to his chest the weekend before Halloween.

Sgt. Eric Janik, a Baltimore city police officer, delivered the fright of a lifetime, pulling a gun on Mike Morrison at the end of his act, authorities said Monday.

LEBANON, Pa. - Pennsylvania mom Meleanie Hain believed so strongly in the right to bear arms that she gained national notoriety for packing a pistol to her 5-year-old daughter's soccer game and later sued the sheriff who revoked, albeit temporarily, her license to carry. Her car had a National Rifle Association bumper sticker that read "NRA law enforcement."

But guns didn't save Meleanie Hain.

She and her husband, Scott Hain, a parole officer, were found shot to death Wednesday inside their home in Pennsylvania Dutch country. Their three young children were unharmed.

Hain was found shot to death Wednesday, along with her husband Scott Hain, in what appears to be a murder-suicide, police said.

BERN, Switzerland - Roman Polanski is not going to skip out on a judge again, at least not in Switzerland.

The Swiss Justice Ministry says it has rejected an appeal from Polanski to be released from prison pending his possible extradition to the United States.
