Sticky the Cat: Teen Charged for Duct-Taped Cat-astrophe

PHILADELPHIA - The Pennsylvania SPCA says a teenager has been charged in connection with a duct-taped cat nicknamed "Sticky."

The tabby cat was found last Tuesday in the backyard of a home in North Philadelphia.

MIAMI - An attorney representing a South Florida teenager accused of killing more than a dozen cats says he expects a massive case that might involve more than 100 witnesses.

Tyler Hayes Weinman's attorney, David Macey, says the teenager's family is already struggling to pay his legal bills.

Teen Who Roasted Kitten Shows No Remorse

NEW YORK - Cheyenne Cherry, 17, pled guilty to charges of animal cruelty and attempted burglary on Wednesday, and admitted she didn't let a kitten out of an oven after a friend put the animal inside and let it roast to death.

Authorities say the pair ransacked a Bronx, NY apartment before putting the cat, Tiger Lily, in the oven, where it cried and scratched before dying.

Man Arrested For Rescuing 37 Cats From Death

REIDSVILLE, N.C. A North Carolina man kidnapped 37 cats from an animal shelter last week - because he wanted to save them from death by euthanasia.

Edward McIrvin, of Greensboro, faces charges of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny, according to Police Lt. Wendell Neville. Edward McIrvin, 43, has already admitted to the deed.

Miami Police Call Accused Kitty Killer A Sociopath

MIAMI, Fla. - Accused Cat Killer Tyler Weinman became "excited and animated" when discussing obtaining cats for dissection from Mexico, according to his affidavit released today in which investigators call him a sociopath.

MIAMI - The father and stepmother of the teenager accused of killing more than a dozen cats in South Florida spoke today as the couple walked outside the courthouse.

CBS4 Miami had the cameras rolling while Tyler Hayes Weinman’s father told television reporters that he was confident his son wasn't involved in the cat deaths.

Alleged Kitty Killer Makes Bail

MIAMI - A Miami judge has released the teenager accused of killing more than a dozen cats in two suburban Miami communities from jail.

Tyler Hayes Weinman had already posted bond before Wednesday's hearing, but the judge would not release him until the 18-year-old's psychiatric evaluation could be reviewed.

$249,500 Bond For Alleged Cat Serial Killer

MIAMI - During a court appearance Monday afternoon, 18-year-old Tyler Hayes Weinman, the man accused of killing and mutilating 19 cats, was slapped with a $249,500 bail by a Florida judge, who also said he must undergo a psychiatric evaluation and wear a monitoring device if he is released.

Weinman, who was arrested Sunday, was charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty and improperly disposing of an animal body and four counts of burglary.

Cat's In The Bag; Kitty Killer Caught, Say Police

MIAMI - Cats can sleep a little bit easier in the sunshine state. The man behind the mysterious cat killings that horrified pet owners and disturbed residents of two South Florida communities has been caught, say police, and he was living right next door to many of his victims.

18-year-old Tyler Hayes Weinman, whose divorced parents live in the neighborhoods where many of the cats were killed, was charged Sunday with 19 counts each of animal cruelty and improperly disposing of an animal body.
