Mom Sharon McDonough Suspected of "Concentration Camp" Animal Burial Site in Long Island Backyard

NEW YORK - It looked like a scene straight out of a scary movie on Long Island as authorities uncovered a mass burial site for animals in a woman's backyard.

Now, the Selden, N.Y. mother is charged with animal cruelty, and that appears to be just the beginning.

Sharon McDonough, 43, started the day cuffed and collared following a nightmare discovery at her home.

"It gives me the shivers," one neighbor said. "That's all I can say."

"Big Brother 9" Winner Adam Jasinski Indicted on Oxyocodone Charges, Could Face 20 Years

BOSTON - Adam Jasinski, winner of the CBS reality TV show "Big Brother 9," has been formally indicted in federal court for illegal possession of oxycodone pills with intent to distribute.

The 31-year-old from Delray Beach, Fla. was charged Wednesday with attempting to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills, a prescription painkiller that can produce a heroin-like high if crushed and then swallowed, snorted or injected.

"Dark Knight" Director's Brother Accused of Planning Batman-Style Escape

CHICAGO - The brother of the director of "The Dark Knight" was apparently planning his own Batman-style escape from the Metropolitan Correctional Center, according to CBS station WBBM.

Matthew Nolan, the brother of "The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan, is being held at the prison, accused of a murder in Costa Rica.

A recording of a six-minute 911 call obtained Thursday by the Associated Press details the moments that Aug. 27 night after the boy allegedly shot his father in the head with a shotgun.

Morgan Dana Harrington: New Search Under Way for Va. Tech Student Missing Since Metallica Concert

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - A weekend-long search, aided by an army of volunteers and more reward money, is beginning Friday in a renewed effort to find 20-year-old Virginia Tech student Morgan Dana Harrington.

Harrington's parents, saying "we just want our daughter back," have added $100,000 of their own money to the Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to Morgan, and the band Metallica has also donated $50,000 to the reward fund.

CHIPLEY, Fla. - Sheriff Bobby Haddock may still be basking in the glow of the rare happy ending in the case of 7-month-old Shannon Dedrick, found after five days of searching -- alive and well -- in a box under her babysitter's bed.

But now investigators have to figure out exactly how the toddler wound up in a 2' x 3' box, apparently hidden there by Susan Elizabeth Baker.

Yankees Hot, Tim Lincecum Not! San Francisco Giants Pitcher Busted for Pot

SEATTLE - It's probably not the kind of "whiff" San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum wants to be known for.

Lincecum, a 2008 Cy Young Award winner, is facing misdemeanor marijuana charges following a traffic stop in his home state.

Washington State Patrol spokesman Steve Schatzel said Thursday that Lincecum, a former University of Washington star, was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 5 in the town of Hazel Dell, about four miles north of the Oregon border, on Oct. 30.

Ft. Hood Shooting Suspect Nidal Malik Hasan Reportedly Shouted "Allahu Akbar"

FORT HOOD, Texas - Soldiers who witnessed the shooting rampage at Fort Hood that left 13 people dead reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" — an Arabic phrase for "God is great!" — before opening fire, the base commander said Friday.

Lt. Gen. Robert Cone said officials had not yet confirmed that the suspected shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, made the comment before the rampage Thursday. Hasan was among 30 people wounded in the shooting spree and remained hospitalized on a ventilator.
