Wendy's Fast Food Brawl: Mich. Drive-Thru Order Ends in Arrests, Say Police

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (CBS/AP) Would you like a fist with your fries?

Police say hamburgers, french fries, punches, and chairs were all were thrown during a midday fight at a Kalamazoo Wendy's restaurant that ended with two arrests.

Apparently it started when four customers in a vehicle at the Wendy's drive-thru lane midday Saturday claimed their order was incorrect.

Police said the disgruntled diners hurled food and drinks at an employee inside.

Aiming to please, the employee retaliated said police, by hitting the vehicle with a drink, ketchup and fries -- which in turn prompted two people from said vehicle to go inside the restaurant, where they fought with employees.

Two of the customers were arrested and charged with assault. The employee had some minor scrapes and abrasions.

Police said Wendy's workers blamed the fight on a "communication breakdown."

Serious food for thought.
