Weekend Music Round-Up: time to groove edition

(CBS News) Is it late in the day on Friday? Check. Is the weekend starting? Double check. Then that means it's time for the Weekend Music Round-Up! And with a passion for moving on my mind, let's start this week with a groove to put you in the mood... to dance! So take a listen to our first item above: "Modern Hearts" by The Knocks and featuring St. Lucia.

Up next, we have a band that holds a special spot in my heart, not only because I've been a big fan of their music for years, but also because I've teamed up and won big at billiards with one of the members. If you know them, you love them; if you don't know them, you're about to fall in love. Check out the sultry sounds of Thao & The Get Down Stay Down and their song "Holy Roller."

Our request item this week comes courtesy of our Facebook page where fan of The Feed, Michael Lyon, has asked us to highlight a band we've actually featured a few times before (and so makes this a total win-win situation for us). Get ready for an oh-so-sweet mix of rock, soul, country and more blending together in the form of Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers' song "I'm Your Woman" next.

And did someone say visual flare blended with music in a wholly unique way that embodies all things Internet and awesome? Okay, probably not. But that's exactly what you're going to get with our spotlight on the creative and auditory component in this fascinating music video that brings the GIF to the forefront. Become mesmerized by both the sights and sounds of Adrian Sieber's "Round Round Song" directed by Danila below.

Finally, we started this thing off with dancing, and that's exactly how we're going to end it. Though you may want to change into a fedora or flapper dress before doing so for this modern-made-classic cover. Go ahead and take in the musical stylings and brilliance of Postmodern Jukebox performing a wholly different style (and era) rendition of Psy's "Gentleman" at the bottom.

And with that, I hope you all have a wonderful upcoming weekend, and, as always, please make sure to keep coming back to The Feed for all of your viral (and music) video needs!
