Walmart Car Crash: 4 injured after man crashes car into Calif. store, attacks customers with blunt object, report says

(CBS) -- Police said four people were injured Sunday morning when a driver crashed into a Walmart in San Jose and attacked customers with a blunt object, CBS San Francisco reports.

The suspect crashed into the store around 11:15 a.m. Sunday and immediately got out, grabbed a blunt object from inside the store and physically assaulted customers, said Sgt. Jason Dwyer of the San Jose Police Department.

Dwyer said one victim was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, and three other victims were hospitalized with less serious injuries, CBS San Francisco reports.

Officers arrived to the scene and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who was then booked into Santa Clara County jail, the station reports. The suspect's name has not yet been released pending further investigation by San Jose police.
