On Wednesday, Michigan State Police searched Adams Lake in Colon, Mich. with dive teams and sonar. The search was completed mid-afternoon, but police did not turn up anything related to the missing woman.
The 32-year-old disappeared on April 26 from her parents' home in Colon Township, over 80 miles south of Lansing. According to her mother, Therese McComb, Stewart had gone outside early that morning in her slippers and pajamas to mail a letter and never came back.
Michigan State Police say Doug Stewart, Venus' husband, is not currently a suspect, is not in custody and is under no obligation to return to Michigan.
