London's usually-bustling Trafalgar Square was shut down on Saturday as Tom Cruise filmed scenes for his upcoming movie "All You Need is Kill."

Photographs show the actor landing in a helicopter in the middle of the emptied square during the film shoot. Military vehicles could also be seen parked on the set.

Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, a soldier who keeps reliving his last day while trying to fight against an alien race known as Mimics. Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton also star in the sci-fi/action film.

"All You Need is Kill" is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 14, 2014.
