The Feed's Friday music round-up after the storm edition

(CBS News) "Superstorm" Sandy is over and the recovery continues here in New York City and elsewhere. Now, more than ever, we have a Friday that calls for great music. And The Feed is ready to deliver, as always, starting off this week with the music video for The xx's song "Chained".

The stunning visuals mixed with amazing music off of The xx's new album "Coexist" was directed by Young Replicant and is just another of many reasons why your blogger here is such a fan of this progressive and cool band.

And while we may have taken the tempo down a notch with our opening song in the round-up, we're going to go upbeat and have you smiling now in our second selection from Sam Tsui and KurtHugoSchneider with their music mix entitled "Summer Pop Medley 2012!" below.  Take a listen.

Incorporating just about every hit song to make the rounds over the past summer, this fun medley manages to perfectly blend the pop hits you all know (and hopefully love) into a make-you-move-and-groove mix of happy. Seriously, this is just what the doctor ordered!

And much like a roller-coaster, we started things low, then went high and are about to do it all over again, so get ready for the drop with an artistic, insightful and fascinating music video for WhoMadeWho's song "Running Man + The Sun" directed by William Stahl of Good Boy! Creative below.

And while the music video for "Running Man + The Sun" is brilliant and makes you think, there's no way I'm going to let things end on a down note. We finish this week's Friday Music Round-up with some slip n' slide fun in the sun and hope for a better tomorrow, especially for those in the Northeast who have been dealing with the aftermath of Sandy. Take a look and listen to the music video for "One Afternoon" from Scott & Brendo directed by Scott Winn at the bottom.

I really hope you all enjoyed this week's Friday music round-up, and want to wish everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy safety and comfort in the midst of the ongoing recovery. Special thanks goes out to my colleague (and oftentimes sounding board for the Friday music round-up), Casey Glynn. And, as always, please make sure to keep coming back to The Feed for all your viral (and music) video needs!
