"The Bachelorette" star Emily Maynard marries Tyler Johnson

"The Bachelorette" star Emily Maynard may not have found a husband during her time on the ABC dating series, but that hasn't stopped her from finding love in real life.

She married automotive management consultant Tyler Johnson in a surprise wedding ceremony over the weekend, according to People.

The couple exchanged vows in front of roughly 200 relatives and friends at Johnson's farm in Sharon, S.C. The invitees had thought that they were attending an engagement party for the couple, both 28.

"God brought us together. He's given me such peace about everything. I'm so grateful I met him," the former "Bachelorette" star, now referring to herself as Emily Johnson, told People.

Her 8-year-old daughter, Ricki, served as the maid of honor.

"It's just as much her day as it is mine because it's a big change for her," the bride said. "She just adores Tyler and he is so good with her. He loves her as if she was his own daughter. It's been so great to see their relationship grow."

The new Mrs. Johnson had first appeared on "The Bachelor" during the show's 15th season in 2011 and was the recipient of the Final Rose from Brad Womack. The couple broke up later that year and Emily appeared on season 8 of "The Bachelorette" in 2012, eventually getting engaged to Utah entrepreneur Jef Holm, only for that relationship to end later on in October of that year.

The newlyweds say they will spend their honeymoon on a beach together.
