(CBS News) Media mogul and philanthropist Ted Turner will appear on "CBS This Morning" Thursday.

Turner is best-known for founding CNN and as the head of Turner Broadcasting. Since selling his company to Time Warner in 1996, Turner has moved into philanthropy. His current philanthropic interests include: the Turner Foundation, the United Nations Foundation, the Nuclear Threat Initiative, the Captain Planet Foundation, and the Turner Endangered Species Fund. In addition, he remains actively involved in business with the Ted's Montana Grill restaurant chain.
