Suge Knight out of hospital, back behind bars

LOS ANGELES -- Former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight has been released from the hospital a day after complaining of chest pains.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Deputy Kelvin Moody says Knight was released and taken into custody around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The 49-year-old Knight complained of chest pains Tuesday about an hour after he pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges.

He is accused of intentionally running down and killing a friend on Jan. 29. Another man was injured.

Knight founded Death Row Records, which once featured Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Tupac Shakur as its top artists.

Knight could face life in prison if convicted.

His lawyer, James Blatt, said the incident was an accident that occurred as Knight was trying to flee an altercation in which he was assaulted.
